This specimen is distinguished by its intricately distorted ribs, which differ dramatically from those of a typical Euphorbia obesa.
As it has grown, the ribs have twisted irregularly and become tightly compressed against one another, creating a remarkably sculptural structure.
Particularly striking is the complex arrangement of ribs concentrated around the crown.
Resembling a miniature sculpture, its unusual form reveals different details from every angle.
The beautiful bluish-green skin contrasts with patches of brown woody corking between the ribs.
